DESIGN FEES WILL OFTEN PAY FOR THEMSELVES
A reputable residential contractor encourages clients to use an architect stating that one month of architectural fees at the start of the project is not only absorbed by the total cost of the project but that the clients save money because they reduce the number of change orders made for forgotten elements. The same principal applies to interior design.
The money spent up-front on design fees will easily be made up through the design and implementation process. A good plan and its coordination will save time and money later in the process. It can cost 3 times or more to redesign around or add in a forgotten element or factor than it would have cost if it were incorporated into the original plan.
